Short answer: choose the 2 days 1 night if you only want the summit and you're short on time. Choose the 3 days 2 nights if you can spare one more day — it adds the crater lake, the hot springs and a gentler finish, for Rp 400,000 more.

The 2D1N is the most efficient way to stand on top of Rinjani. You camp on the Sembalun crater rim (2,639 m), climb to the summit for sunrise, and descend the same day. See the full 2D1N itinerary.
The 3D2N is our most popular trek. After the summit you drop into the caldera to the lake (~2,009 m), rest in the natural hot springs, climb to the Senaru rim (2,641 m) and walk down through the rainforest on day three. See the full 3D2N itinerary.
Our honest advice: if your schedule allows it, take the extra day. For Rp 400,000 more you get the part of Rinjani many trekkers remember most — the crater lake and hot springs — and your knees get a separate day for the long descent.
If you want your own dates, your own group, or the quieter Torean route, we run private and custom treks. Our open trips are small groups of up to 10 people.
